SD4000 Universal USB Docking Station maximises workplace productivity and satisfaction

Sydney, Australia, 18 August, 2015 – Today Kensington launched the SD4000 Universal USB Docking Station, enabling business users to leverage 4K (3840 x 2160) Ultra High Definition (UHD) monitors upscaling via HDMI or DisplayPort with their current laptop or tablet. Kensington’s SD4000 Dock increases workplace productivity cost-effectively; it provides all the benefits of UHD resolution independent of a 4K-ready laptop or 4K graphics card.

Today’s typical business user works with multiple applications at the same time – constantly switching between a spreadsheet to emails, to a word processor and a web browser. The Kensington SD4000 Universal USB Docking Station’s increased screen space helps professionals execute multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. It displays more information on screen without sacrificing legibility so professionals like stock analysts and graphic designers immediately benefit from viewing large amounts of data on one screen. Kensington’s SD4000 Dock provides additional screen estate and clarity on a single monitor so it consumes less energy than a dual-monitor setup, without sacrificing productivity.

If a user is not ready to upgrade to a 4K UHD monitor, the dock can drive a dual 2K (2048 x 1152) monitor set-up with the SD4000 supporting both DisplayPort and HDMI. The SD4000 Dock consumes 80 per cent less power than a standalone 4K graphics card with its USB graphics input, while the range of connectivity options on the SD4000 Dock ensure professionals are well-equipped with less cord clutter.
