Never seen before PowerLift™ Technology charges smartphones directly from the new KeyFolio Thin X3 keyboard case
Sydney, Australia, 3 September 2014 – Kensington today announced two new ultra-thin and stylish keyboard cases for the iPad Air, with brand new charge-and-go technology. Consumers will never be caught with a flat phone battery again, with new PowerLift™ technology that lets people charge their smartphone using power directly from the new KeyFolio Thin X3 keyboard case.
This innovative new technology has been developed due to an increase in customer demand for charging on-the-go. With more than three quarters (82%)[1] of Australians using at least one form of smart device to stay connected, demand is on the up for convenient charging solutions for when people are working and playing on the go. The Kensington KeyFolio Thin X3 means users can quickly and conveniently charge their smartphone, while increasing productivity.
“We recognised the increasing nature of workplace mobility and the need for our customers to stay constantly connected. Three quarters (76%) of Aussies are using a smartphone and nearly half (45%) are using a tablet, which is a significant number of the population. This is why we’ve developed the brand new PowerLift™ technology for the new KeyFolio Thin X3,” said Sam Goldstein, marketing and business development manager, Kensington Australia. “Now our customers don’t need to worry about running out of battery, or the dreaded 10% low battery warning, that can threaten their working day.”
In addition to the X3 design, Kensington has also announced the KeyFolio Thin X2 Plus model. This design lets users work comfortably in multiple environments, with a backlit Bluetooth keyboard featuring high performance scissor keys and dedicated shortcut keys. This allows users to be more productive using fewer keystrokes. The keyboard is designed to save battery life and features KeySense Power Channel™ technology that switches from an active to standby mode when disengaged from the magnetic stand.
The KeyFolio thin range has also been developed with design in mind. The new cases complement the sleek nature of the iPad Air by offering a stylish design with a hard shell exterior that works to safeguard your device without excessive bulk or weight. In addition, the QuickFold design lets users hide the keyboard beneath the iPad Air to quickly and easily transition from typing mode to viewing mode.
Kensington KeyFolio Thin products are available for pre-order at Kensington.com or immediate purchase from 17 September 2014.
