Kensington, the mobile computing accessories company, has launched five FM Transmitters into its ‘Play It’ range, allowing users to listen to their MP3 and iPod tunes over an FM frequency directly through their home or car stereo.
The new products in the LiquidFM range are as follows:
- LiquidFM Portable for MP3 Players (£19.99): A mobile device that allows users of MP3 players and MP3 enabled phones to play their music through their home or car stereo.
- LiquidFM for iPod (£49.99): Plays iPod tunes through a users car stereo via the car’s cigarette lighter. The device allows the iPod to be charged while it plays and automatically switches off when not in use – avoiding car battery drain.
- LiquidFM Plus for MP3 Players (£49.99): Allows users to play MP3s through their car stereo from any MP3 player or MP3 enabled phone. It has QuickSeek technology, which finds the clearest available frequency in seconds and has a USB pass-through, which charges an MP3 player or any other USB device (cable sold separately). The device is compatible with the new iPods launched earlier this month.
- LiquidFM Deluxe for iPod (£69.99): Also compatible with the new iPods, the product plays iPod tunes over a car stereo and even from the new iPhone. It has QuickSeek technology and displays the song title and artist over the car stereo’s screen. With an on / off switch to avoid car battery drain and the ability to charge the iPod when in use, it’s Kensington’s top-of-the-range FM Transmitter.
All the new products have three station presets for instant tuning and ClearFM technology for superior sound and ease of use.
“People shouldn’t be restricted to when they can listen to their favourite tunes, or have the quality of the music compromised when they want to listen to it on the move,” said Karen Hicks, product manager at Kensington. “The new range has been designed with the users’ listening pleasure in mind, combining superior technology with ease of use. ” Hicks concluded.
