Kensington 7-in-1 Media Reader for ExpressCard – 33407EU
The youtube generation know all about the importance of data storage. Managing memory is just as important for the professionals. Film reels have been replaced by digital data storage in the form of memory cards. The high cost of proprietary cards can sometimes be avoided by the use of a media card reader.
For instance the popular Sony EX3 HD Camcorder accepts Sonys own proprietary memory solution as well as the Kensington 7-in-1 Media reader. This allows film makers to use a variety of data storage memory cards. This is not only often cheaper but also provides flexibility between shoots and the editing suite.
Camera equipment hire specialists Shoot Blue recognise the convenience offered on location and in post production. Jon Howarth of Shoot Blue commented "At Shoot Blue we issue the Kensington Media Card reader as standard with all of our Sony camera kits. It works perfectly with the camera setup. It allows users to use their own SDHC cards (approximately £25 for a 16GB SDHC card) instead of the Sony SxS memory card that costs around £429".
Shoot Blue are currently using the Kensington 7-in-1 Media reader on location in Florida filming US Open Polo final. Their footage, captured with the Kensington 7-in-1 Media reader will be broadcast on ESPN and Eurosport."
