Apple has announced the imminent arrival of their new iPhone™ 3G S. It succeeds and undoubtedly improves upon the adored iPhone 3G.
Industry commentators and users alike have always pointed to the iPhone 3G’s limited battery life of just 5 hours’ talk time.
In a polished launch at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, Apple revealed the new iPhone’s highlights – these include it being twice as fast as the iPhone 3G and has longer battery life, a 3 megapixel autofocus camera, video recording and hands-free voice control.
“iPhone 3G S is the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet and we think people will love the incredible new features including autofocus camera, video recording and the freedom of voice control,” said Mr Philip Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice-President of World Wide Product Marketing.
Some of the new features will delight users and they’ll want to do even more with their iPhones - and more often. Kensington suspects that Power is going to be an issue again and whilst playback and standby time may be improved the ultimately critical talk time will still be an issue. With a range of portable, desk, in-car and travel iPhone power accessories we’re well placed to ensure proud new owners of the iPhone 3G S will have enough power wherever they are to tell their friends how happy they are on the 18th June!
