Kensington advises connected consumers on today’s travel essentials
Kensington, the leading mobile computing accessories company, has created a range of travel products with the needs of today’s ‘connected consumer’ at the heart of their design.
Consumers can streamline their power requirements with the Ultra Thin Notebook Power Adapter. It charges multiple devices, like MP3 players, smart phones and notebooks, thanks to the inclusion of a USB port.
The Ultra Thin Notebook Power Adapters meet Energy Star’s latest 2009 accreditation criteria, which are even more stringent than in 2008. Energy Star accredited products are on average 30 per cent more energy efficient than conventional models.
For travellers who don’t want to sacrifice style when on the move, the Contour Balance Notebook Roller combines good looks with practical features. The case’s deep-quilted, water-resistant material protects laptops from impact, while the telescoping handle is ergonomically designed to shift weight to wheels. In addition, the case is easier to manoeuvre than most traditional rollers, as it is 25 per cent lighter. As with all Kensington Contour bags, the Contour Balance Notebook Roller is exclusively endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association.
Kensington has also produced the SlimBlade™ Presenter Media Mouse so people can take full advantage of all their notebook’s capabilities, no matter where they are. The fully-featured laser mouse allows users to control their media and presentations wirelessly as well as navigating text and applications with superior precision. It is also compact, stylish and equipped with battery saving features.
People travelling with their laptops are particularly vulnerable to theft, as the devices are easier to steal outside of offices and homes. Kensington’s ComboSaver Combination Portable Notebook allows owners to secure their notebooks no matter where they are, and is small enough to carry in a laptop case.
“Kensington aims to simplify travelling by addressing common pain points and providing stylish, practical solutions to these challenges,” said George Foot, Vice President Kensington Europe.
