New pivoting lock head raises the standard rather than ultra thin laptops

The Kensington MicroSaver® DS Keyed Lock for Ultra-Thin is specifically designed to secure ultra slim notebooks.

Laptops are constantly getting thinner and lighter, this presents a design and engineering challenge to the manufacturers of laptop accessories. Whilst all leading laptop manufacturers include the industry standard Kensington security slot into their laptops, the surface area around the K-Slot is constantly reducing as laptops becomes leaner and meaner.

When Kensington introduced it’s first laptop lock laptops were huge in comparison to today.  Large laptop lock heads on slim laptops cause user frustration and do not allow for “wobble free” typing as the lock head invariably raises the laptop from the table.

The new Kensington MicroSaver® DS Keyed Lock for Ultra-Thin Notebooks features design and innovation that you should expect from the industry leader. Accompanying the patented T-bar lock head, disk style locking mechanism and tempered carbon steel cable is a new rotating head and pivoting cable.

The slim lock head measures just 13mm and is more than just strong and slim. The lock head rotates a full 360° and the cable pivots 90°. This combination ensures comfort of use however awkward the position of the K-Slot and however thin the laptop is.
