Kensington Computer Products Group, a worldwide leader in delivering smart made simple⢠computing accessories, today announced the appointment of Greg Avera to the new role of Vice President of US Sales at Kensington. Avera reports to Christopher Franey, President of Kensington Computer Products Group, a division of ACCO Brands Corporation.
Most recently, Avera held the position of Director, World Wide Business Development, Outsourced Sales and Marketing at Everything Channel, located in New York. Everything Channel publishes CRN and VAR Business, hosts industry events (Xchange, RetailVision), and offers channel partner recruitment, onboarding, and management services to IT vendors worldwide.
From 2004 until 2008, Avera was with ViewSonic Corporation in several roles, including General Manager of its Wireless Division and head of U.S. sales and sales operations. During his tenure at ViewSonic, Avera significantly expanded the company's channel infrastructure and sustained revenue growth across all products, helping the company reach more than $500 million in annual sales.
In 2001, Avera joined D-Link Corporation as Vice President of US Channel Sales, where he led and managed inside and outside sales teams for this provider of Ethernet and wireless networking products.
In 1996, he joined ViewSonic for the first time and held a variety of positions, including global account management of Dell and HP, before being promoted to Director of Business Development. He also led ViewSonic's enterprise sales team. Early in his career, Greg worked for Tech Data Corporation as a sales trainer.

Avera is a graduate of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
