Kensington® Charges Up iPod Market With Full Suite Of Power, Performance and Protection Accessories

FM Transmitter/Charger Leads iPod Product Line To Be Showcased at CES 2005

Kensington Technology Group, a leading maker of accessories that enhance the lifestyle of the Digitally Active™, will showcase a suite of new accessories for the Apple iPod digital music player during the 2005 International CES, being held on January 6-9, 2005. Leading the charge is the Kensington® FM Transmitter/Auto Charger, an all-in-one unit that allows consumers to listen to their favorite music from their iPod in full stereo sound on their car stereo, while charging their iPod at the same time. Additional auto accessories include an Auto Charger, a Cassette Adapter/Charger and a full line of sturdy and colorful iPod cases. The entire line of new iPod products will be on display at Booth #36438 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Kensington's line of new iPod accessories includes:

"FM Transmitter/Auto Charger: When plugged into an automobile lighter outlet, the FM Transmitter/Charger enables consumers to listen to their favorite music from their iPod with the crisp highs and deep lows of full stereo sound on their car stereo system, while charging the unit at the same time. Incorporating patented wireless technology from Aerielle, Inc., the Kensington® FM Transmitter/Charger delivers superior audio fidelity, including enhanced noise reduction and excellent stereo separation. Users can also transmit iPod tunes to FM radios within 15 feet. Additional features include LED indicators that signal plugged and charging states, and a safety fuse to protects against power spikes. Auto Charger for iPod 33158: iPod and iPod mini owners can get a full charge while driving by simply plugging their Auto Charger into their automobile lighter outlet. The Charger includes LED indicators that signal plugged and charging states and has a fully retractable power cord to reduce tangles and save space. The cord also doubles as a FireWire/dock connector cable for quick connections to a computer. The Auto Charger for iPod works with any iPod or iPod mini with dock connector.

Available online and at select national retailers, the Kensington® Auto Charger for iPod (SKU #33158) has an estimated street price of $24.99.

Cassette Adapter/Charger for iPod: When plugged into a car cassette player, the Cassette Adapter/Charger enables consumers to listen to their favorite music from their iPod in full stereo sound on their car stereo system, while charging the unit at the same time. It includes LED indicators that signal plugged and charging states, a safety fuse to protect against power spikes, and a fully retractable power cord to reduce tangles and save space.
